When planning an activity with your grandchildren, traveling far doesn’t have to be an option. Columbus, Ohio is the capital city, and those living in or near the city have a wealth of great things for grandparents to do when the grandkids pay a visit. One of the most prominent events of the season is the Ohio State Fair. The fair is an annual event for most people and offers a wealth of entertainment for adult and child alike.
The Ohio State Fair is currently going on through August 8th. Information for the fair can be obtained online at http://www.ohiostatefair.com . It gives the times each day as well as pricing information, and while there you can download the entire program guide if needed.
Fair offerings include arts and crafts (everything from youth to adult), food, rides and animal judging. There are also all kinds of special attractions and activities from Sporting Competitions to an Open Horse Show.
For the grandparents who prefer, they offer a free shuttle drop-off at different spots around the ground.
The last day of the fair will include the sale of the champion livestock auction on Sunday, August 8th at 2:00 pm.
There’s a whole line up of entertainment from Jeremy Camp to Rascal Flatts this year; including some entertainment that is free. Tickets in advance are available at ©Ticketmaster which will also include free Fair Admission.
Plan your fair visit with the grandchildren and head out to the Columbus Ohio State Fair. Don’t forget the camera for some fun shots of smiling faces.
