The Ohio State Buckeyes have not lost a game since 2011, riding a 24 game winning streak, yet continue to have people underestimate them. With people down on the Big Ten, some claim Ohio State has it too easy and that a one-loss SEC team deserves a chance at the national title over an undefeated Buckeyes team. National title talk is null and void if Ohio State loses to Michigan State in the Big Ten Championship game. According to ESPN on Dec. 7, an Ohio State win should mean a national title appearance while the Spartans will still get into the Rose Bowl, meaning both teams should finish the season in a nice spot, whether they win or lose.
It sounds like, win or loss, Michigan State will end up in the Rose Bowl, but Ohio State would get an at large bid as a one-loss Big Ten team as well. However, the Buckeyes want into the national title game to prove their critics wrong. Whether they play Florida State, or in the case of an ACC upset, the SEC Champion, Ohio State will set out to prove they should never be overlooked.
