According to Thursday's WFMJ News, a man in Youngstown, Ohio, was arrested for allegedly killing two dogs and stalking and torturing his estranged girlfriend.

Last Sunday, Amanda Haymes reached out to the police after her estranged boyfriend, 43-year-old Todd Wollen, allegedly killed her two dogs. Haymes told the authorities that Wollen had targeted her dogs because he wanted her back and he had vowed to take something that she loved until she reunited with him.

Haymes' dog, "Grace," was dead when the officers arrived; after speaking with her, they went to Wollen's Burbank Avenue home where they found another dead dog, named "Simon," stuffed inside of a freezer, as well as a still-alive, malnourished dog.

Wollen's cruel behavior was not limited to Haymes' dogs - he allegedly had been violently lashing out at his estranged girlfriend for weeks. Haymes claims that the man had tried to drug her, he had slammed her down on a bed, smashing her head on a headboard, and tried to "mark his territory" with his own bodily fluids on her body.

Officers arrested Wollen on domestic violence and animal cruelty charges, but he was promptly released from jail after posting bond - the judge ordered him to stay away from Haymes.
