Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association sponsors organic food production

The Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association (http://www.oeffa.org/index.php) supports sustainable agriculture by sponsoring farm tours of organic farms throughout Ohio and helps farmers and gardeners by holding educational events.

Lake Effect Chapter Farm Tour: Maplestar Farm

 Join your friends at OEFFA's Lake Effect Chapter for one of the first farm tours of the season!

Maplestar Farm is owned by Jake and Dawn Trethewey and has been in the Trethewey family since 1940. This 40 acre farm (14 certified organic by OEFFA) grows 6 acres of produce including asparagus, strawberries, garlic, fingerling potatoes, and sweet corn. They sell produce at their own roadside stand, through a CSA, and to local restaurants.

If you're farming, thinking about farming, or just enjoy good food, this is a great opportunity to see one of Ohio's organic farms up close, ask questions, and meet fellow farmers and foodies.
