Kyle Kushen of Lakewood, Ohio was sentenced to six months in jail on Wednesday for throwing his roommate's miniature pinscher against a door and killing her at his residence located on the 1500 block Wyandotte.
According to Fox8.com, Kushen, 19, acted out of uncontrolled rage on August 26 as he went downstairs to get something to drink. On his way to the kitchen, Kushen told authorities he stepped in dog feces and urine, and was angry he had to clean it up. When there were no clean glasses in the kitchen, his anger intensified.
At that point Kushen allegedly picked up the dog and from the landing of the steps, slammed the dog against the front door.
The miniature pinscher named Princess was dead when her owner returned to the home, and her owner believed Kushen killed the dog. Kushen initially told authorities the dog escaped and was hit by a car, but there were too many inconsistencies in Kushen's story. Finally he admitted to throwing the dog.
Rest in peace Princess.
