Ohio credit unions are marching miles for miracle kids

Leaving from Columbus on route to Cincinnati, Ohio Credit Unions come together to raise $100,000 for Ohio Children’s Hospitals. Marching Miles is an 18-day, 170-mile trek from Columbus to Cincinnati to raise funds for Ohio children’s hospitals. The March “steps off" this Sunday, with the initial group of marchers walking from Dublin to Plain City, an 11 mile leg of the trek. The final group of marchers are scheduled to arrive in Cincinnati on April 15th.

Dubbed “Ohio Credit Unions: Marching Miles for Miracle Kids,” the annual fundraiser benefiting the Children’s Miracle Network has garnered more than $260,000 in three years and has a 2010 goal of $100,000.  Volunteers and staff from credit unions around Ohio take part in the march, raising money from donations made through MarchingMiles.com.  Funds are also raised through “virtual” marchers and from donations from credit unions statewide.

The 2010 Marching Miles “Step Off" takes place Sunday, March 28, 2010 – 12:30 p.m. (March steps off at approximately 1:15 p.m.) at Nationwide Children’s Hospital Close to Home, 5675 Venture Drive, Dublin, Ohio. To participate you can register to be a marcher on-line or at the event on Sunday at 12:00 p.m.
