Have you been wondering if a traditional public school is right for your child? Ohio Connections Academy is offering an alternative for curious families. Families ready to try online education are encouraged to enroll their children at Ohio Connections Academy for the 2014 – 2015 school year beginning March 3, 2014.
What is Ohio Connections Academy?
Ohio Connections Academy:
- Is a public, tuition-free, K-12 school
- Welcomes all Ohio children
- Allows flexible class scheduling
- Provides foreign language classes
Unlike traditional public school instruction, Ohio Connections Academy uses online learning to allow students to learn at home on a computer. Parents, also referred to as “learning coaches”, are required to mark their children’s attendance during online learning sessions. Teachers get to know families by phone, email and during field trips.
Similar to traditional public schools, Ohio Connections Academy participates in state testing. The Academy also uses Common Core and other national curriculum standards.
