Police in Suffolk County issued a Silver Alert on Monday for a missing Bay Shore man who they said may be suicidal, according to a Feb. 3 missing person alert.

The 56-year-old man, Kevin Jones, was last seen headed to work after leaving his house on Baldwin Boulevard Monday morning, police said. He was traveling in a 2014 red Ford Explorer that had New York license plate EUL-9307.

Investigators believe Jones may be headed to either the upstate town of Ramapo or Pennsylvania.

In an alert Monday, the state’s Division of Criminal Justice Services said Jones is a “vulnerable adult who has depression and is suicidal.”

Police described Jones – who wears glasses – as 5-foot-10 and 275 pounds with blue eyes, straight blonde hair and a mustache. He is also missing the pinky and ring fingers on his right hand, the alert said.

He was last seen wearing a green shirt, blue jeans and a tan coat.

Anyone with information about Jones’ whereabouts is urged to call Third Squad detectives at 631-854-8352.
