While there has been a large number of rumors circulating about Sony's next-generation console, the PS4, today Kotaku revealed a large amount of information that has supposedly been derived from official documentation for the Orbis, which is the codename for this system. This information has been made available through an individual that takes the name of SuperDae, which some may remember as being the person that tried to sell Xbox 720 developer kits on eBay last year.
Although this documentation did not deliver a release date for the system, it did in fact supply very detailed specifications for the hardware that will be involved with this system. Many of the components that were listed through the documentation line up with previous rumors that have been sourced to the PS4, while some have deviated from what has been previously stated.
It is to be kept in mind that these specs come from the developer kit for the PS4. If these details are in fact true, this may still not be the hardware that is shipped with the consumer version of the PS4. Without further ado, you can view the specifications that have been listed below:
