Official IRS email: 'maybe we are through ... if there are that many a--holes'

Mocking the concerns of people who pay one's government salary is never a good idea, and is especially bad while using an official agency email account to send such derisive emails which will be archived for the public record and future review.

The Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee in the House of Representatives, Dave Camp, released an example today of the derision of one government employee against some Americans who object to what they believe is their own government gone astray.

From the official IRS email account of Lois G. Lerner in November 2012 she is seen mocking people in the midst of the targeting scandal as being from "the whacko wing of the GOP:"

“Well, you should hear the whacko wing of the GOP. The US is through; too many foreigners sucking the teat; time to hunker down, buy ammo and food, and prepare for the end."

Email exchange shows disgust

In a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder, Camp also states his concerns regarding the targeting of concerned Americans who were trying to comply with official IRS agency requests from official government employees:

"A newly discovered email exchange from Ms. Lerner's official IRS email account ... directly demonstrates Ms. Lerner's deep animus towards conservatives which she refers to as '---holes.' Lerner further illustrates her disgust with conservatives, even suggesting they will ruin the country."

In Camp's letter to Holder, he highlights some points for the Attorney General to consider:

"This new evidence clearly demonstrates why Lerner not only denied such groups their rights to due process and equal protection under the law. This builds on the ample evidence in the Committee's original referral in which the Committee found that Ms. Lerner used her position to improperly influence agency action against only conservative organizations, including Crossroads GPS, among others."

Never mind the agency tried to save face and offer a public apology, as the title of this story in HuffPost told: "IRS Apologizes For Inappropriately Targeting Conservative Political Groups In 2012 Election." It might lead one of those many Americans hurt by the agency into some mockery of their own against the government.

"In her email Lerner states: 'So we don't need to worry about alien teRrorist (sic). It's our own crazies who will take us down.'"

The Congressman believes this to be evidence of Ms. Lerner's personal hostility towards certain Americans which drove her mistreatment against them in her official capacity as a public servant.
