Someone killed a 44-year-old man inside his Fulton County home sometime before midnight Sunday.
But neighbors said they did not see or hear anyone enter the home – and police on Monday were waiting on an autopsy to determine how the man died.
Still, investigators said they believe Mr. Mack Simmons, III, was killed by someone he knew.
“Officers found the front door open and went inside to check where they found the man dead,” police spokesman Sgt. Scott McBride said.
“Officers talked to the neighbors, no one saw or heard anything,” Sgt. McBride said. “There was no forced entry.”
Mr. Simmons lived in the home with his father, but he was not home at the time his son was killed.
Police declined to provide any details on where in the home the body was found or release any information on the condition of the body.
