Caregivers are some of the hardest working people in our country or world today. They deserve a break and they deserve an opportunity to take part in a yearly event that matches their lifestyle, the local Fair. This is not however the setting to take our patient or client too. The noise, movement in and being around so many people can be disturbing for our client. If they have clear knowledge of where they are, then they may try to protect themselves from being bumped, jostled and possibly fallen on. If they do not have clear understand they will try know what is happening and when unable to, may become over tired or agitated. Either way this is a stimulus which can have very disturbing consequences; from escalating illness or depression.
Allow the caregiver to have the time to attend with friends and other family members. Engage in a Respite or have a friend stay with the client or patient. Everyone will enjoy the day more and the caregiver will have a break which is much deserved. www.amazon.com/books/caregivingtipsforeveryone
