House music may have been born in Chicago, but now the whole world owns it, especially the Big Apple. On any given night in the city that never sleeps one can find a kickin party—from Deep Space Mondays at Cielo, all the way to Funkbox Sundays at Le Poisson Rouge (not to mention all the underground parties in between). This Sunday one such party is going down in Brooklyn at Matchless (557 Manhattan Ave at Driggs Ave). If you are a house music fan, this party is definitely worth checking out.

Starting at 6:30 PM, performer Chelsea Wolf will be singing, but afterward, around 10 PM, begins the real party with DJ Corey Biggs spinning his unique style of deep house.

Mr. Biggs, has been a part of the New York house and techno music scene for years. Founder of ProfessionalRockstars.com and the broadcast radio and internet radio show, Music Is the Drug, Biggs has a long track record of playing the best Electronic Dance artists around. His weekly Music Is the Drug Radio program is syndicated through Syndicast (http://syndicast.co.uk) on over 48 other Broadcast FM and Internet radio stations worldwide (including soon within American Airlines). It features the best in Deep House, Tech House, Progressive House, Techno, and Electronic Dance Music. He’s featured such legendary artists as Rui Da Silva, Luigi Madonna, Robert Babicz, Federico Scavo, Dosem, Noir, Timo Maas,M.A.N.D.Y, Tom Novy, Marco Bailey, and Sasha Carassi.

Taking inspiration from such icons as Coyu, Noir, Jewel Kid, Maceo Plex, and M.A.N.D.Y., Biggs blends the newest and best tracks out there with some old school classics to provide what he calls “whole, perfect, strong, happy, and harmonious thoughts.” Dancing within a Corey Biggs set is definitely a deep and rhythmic experience.

The future is looking bright. Biggs will be doing a set this July 3rd at Big Liberty EDM, a huge 4,000-person event being held in Philadelphia that will be broadcast live on his radio show. Biggs is also hoping to launch weekly Music Is the Drug-branded parties in the city and nationwide, complete with his deep grooves and those of other up and coming and international DJs.

So, if you are looking for something to do Sunday evening, make it out to Matchless to see DJ Corey Biggs and get into that groove.
