In anticipation of the monumental hearings that will take place in Congress next Tuesday on the DOJ-ATF Gun Smuggling Scandal known as 'Project Gunwalker,' one of the two who first broke the story, Mike Vanderboegh, traveled this week to Washington to talk to informants, sources, Congressmen and Senators, and to attend the hearings.
Vanderboegh posted this curious statement on his blog today, the Sipsy Street Irregulars:
Tonight, for the first time since the Gunwalker Scandal broke in December of last year, I slept with a borrowed semi-auto pistol under the pillow next to me.
I am not scared for my safety. My fate has always been in His hands.
I am scared that now -- even knowing what we know -- we still might fail.
And we cannot fail, for these people are evil beyond measure. They are, in a very real sense, scorpions who care not who they sting and who they kill.
The statement was made in the context of a meeting on Friday during which Vanderboegh learned an important piece of information that could be a major milestone in the scandal if it proves to be true.
Yet Vanderboegh fears that despite the overwhelming amount of information that confirms charges of corruption at the very highest levels of the Obama Administration, the investigations and the attempts to force those involved in the scandal to pay for their crimes may come to naught.
Vanderboegh's fears are well-founded. In the event of such a scenario, America faces a threat to its existence perhaps more dire than any other in its history. It will mean that despite the attempts of the federal government under Barack Obama to blame American gun owers and gun stores for Mexican drug cartel firearms, using phony statistics, absolutely nothing will be done about it, and Americans will be at the mercy of federal law enforcement officials who are not only corrupt to the core but emboldened in their illegal actions. It will mean that the guilty will go unpunished. It will mean that innocent citizens who are falsely accused will be incarcerated. It will mean that nothing will come of the attempt to hold accountable those whose actions resulted in the death of Border Patrol agent Brian Terry and at least one other person. And it will mean that nobody in this government will be called to account for the thousands of deaths that occurred in Mexico and in the U.S. at the southern border due to the truckloads of firearms that the U.S. Government deliberately placed into the hands of some of the most dangerous criminals on earth.
So far, the DOJ, the State Department, DHS, and the FBI have all been implicated in the scheme and coverup. Putting faces on those agencies means that Americans need to know what Holder, Hillary, Nappy, and Mueller knew and when they knew it. Eric Holder, Hillary Clinton, Janet Napolitano, and Robert Mueller are automatically accountable for what occurs on their watch in the agencies which they head in the federal government.
However, each possesses enormous power. Holder was hand-picked by Obama to carry out the agenda of the progressives in his position as Attorney-General, which he has done with flying colors and frightening speed. Hillary has deep ominous connections through the Bill Clinton machine. George Soros, Chinese Communists, and other dark characters figure prominently in their background, and they have benefitted handsomely from the money flowing to them from these sources. Napolitano is not very smart, but she is an effective tool for the brain trust, the powers behind the throne. And Mueller? Somehow he has survived several Presidencies (Clinton, Bush II, and Obama) despite charges of irregular activities within the Bureau, and he has the support of a broad spectrum of people in both Parties in Washington.
Will any of these powerful people, who have powerful people behind the scenes backing them, ever be called to account for the deep corruption that has been discovered in their agencies?
Vanderboegh, for one, fears they will not. And not only the power players but the boots on the ground who carry out the treasonous orders of their superiors. If these boots on the ground are allowed to get away with their crimes, then Obama will have succeeded in turning America into nothing more than a banana republic every bit as corrupt as Mexico itself.
Patriots MUST not allow that to happen.
