He’s 6-foot-10, and a bench is not the most comfortable place for the tall NBA player, but that did not stop Lamar Odom from falling asleep on a courthouse bench as he waited for his lawyers to settle a child custody case, according to a Mar. 4 New York Post report.
Khloe Kardashian’s husband reportedly drew the attention of a Manhattan court officer, who asked the star if he was ok and asked him to “sit up.”
Odom and his ex-girlfriend Liza Morales are fighting over custody of the couple’s daughter Destiny, 14, and son Lamar Jr., 11.
It wasn’t all court house drama and benches for Odom. The Post reports that he and Kardashian dined at Catch restaurant at the same time Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband Kris Humphries was enjoying dinner there with friends.
The Los Angeles Clippers forward and Morales have a lot of work to do to get over her hurt and disappointment. The ex wrote an open letter, published in The Daily Beast, detailing how hurt she was when she found out he was marrying Kardashian.
“I don’t think I’ll forget the tight knot I felt in the pit of my stomach the morning I received the text message with three simple words on the screen. It read 'I’m getting married’ and it was from the man I’d spent more than 10 years of my life with,” she said.
“Years that included us getting engaged in 2000 and becoming parents to one daughter and two sons. Yet not long after our separation Lamar Odom was getting married to Khloe Kardashian, a woman he’d met four weeks before.”
She continued, “How could the man who’d constantly given me reason after reason for why we couldn’t get married just yet now be ready to tie the knot so quickly? There aren’t words to explain how I felt that day.”
She added that the couple “kept things cordial for the children’s sake after the breakup, but that changed when he married Khloe.”
