Odie, the only dog to make the 2010 stamp program

The U.S. Postal Service released the list of new stamps for 2010. The only dog to make it into the stamp hall of fame is our wonderful little Odie from Garfield fame. He falls under the category of The Sunday Funnies which will go on sale in July.

Garfield hit the Sunday Funnies in 1978. Though Garfield himself is a “self-centered and cynical” cat, he shares the comic with the lovable, “dopey but devoted dog,” Odie.

We look forward to the release of this stamp for dog and stamp collectors everywhere.

The Postal Service does not receive tax dollars to operate. They rely solely on the sale of postage, products, and services to fund its daily operating expenses. You can learn more about the 2010 stamp series by visiting the USPS Newsroom at USPS.com/news
