Professional rabble rousers Odd Future have divulged a heaping of new information regarding their various upcoming projects, and, to nobody’s surprise, it would appear the rowdy hip-hop collective are gearing up to stay in the public’s eyes and ears all year long.
First up, March 20th will see the release of the follow up to the group’s 2008 debut mixtape, The Odd Future Tape. The fittingly-titled OF Tape Vol. 2 will feature new work from Tyler, the Creator, Frank Ocean, Domo Genesis, Hodgy Beats, Left Brain, Syd the Kyd, Mike G, and the Internet (still nothing from the now mythic Earl Sweatshirt, though). The mixtape’s release will coincide with the March 25th premiere of Loiter Squad, the group’s upcoming Jackass-style sketch comedy show, which will air on Adult Swim. Here is an example of what to expect (courtesy of the Fader).
On the solo performance side of things, Tyler, the Creator will be following up last year’s Goblin with a new LP, Wolf, which will drop this spring. Similarly, Mellowhype will release an LP of their own, Numbers, this summer.
All of this will be backed by a freshly-announced 17-stop North American tour, which includes a week-long stay over in the United Kingdom, the dates of which are listed below. The tour will feature the Wolf Gang’s “pop-up shops,” where fans can buy an assortment of OFWGKTA merchandise, and accompanying screenings of Loiter Squad. Tickets can be purchased here, if you feel so inclined.
