Octomom under investigation for welfare fraud

Nadya Suleman dubbed Octomom is in trouble again. According to USA Today published yesterday, “The L.A. County Department of Welfare Fraud Prevention and Investigation is investigating whether the mother of 14 may have committed welfare fraud, according to reports from both E! and TMZ. "I can confirm that the authorities have been in contact with us concerning her income and we have been cooperating," an unnamed source tells E!

According to USA Today, Nadya Suleman made around $200,000 last year, from doing her porno video and other publicity tactics. “But under California law, she is only entitled to government assistance if she makes less than $119,000, reports E! If law enforcement brings a case, and Suleman is convicted, she risks going to jail for as much as three years.”

There is no doubt that given the amount of children she has, she is in need of large sums of money. However, her behavior is desperate and reckless. According to an article posted in the New York Post, Octomom, Nadya Suleman kept popping out babies even after doctors diagnosed her with paranoia, depression, wild mood swings and post-traumatic stress syndrome.”

But as far as the single California mother is concerned, she's only one kind of crazy - baby crazy. Nadya has since realized she made a mistake by having all those children which she cannot support. However, she has not stopped with what some would say are unusual ways to make money. The Hollywood Gossip posted, “Is Octomom Nadya Suleman on the verge of hitting rock bottom? Sources close to the mom of 14 say she's been exhibiting increasingly bizarre, dangerous conduct of late ... even by her lofty standards of such things.

According to HuffPost, “Suleman had been supporting herself in part on the more than $165,000 in disability payments she collected between 2002 and 2008 for a work injury she sustained in 1999, according to workers compensation and medical records made public in 2009.” Now she may be convicted of welfare fraud.
