Nadya Suleman, accused of stealing $7,500 ring last summer failed to show up at a hearing scheduled for the case. As a result, Suleman must either return the ring or reimburse the plaintiff Damon Feldman (Huff Post, Jan 9).
The alleged theft occured during a Celebrity Boxing tournament that Feldman organized last summer. Feldman claims that giving Suleman the ring was a publicity stunt and that she was supposed to return it. He had this to say “I’m very happy to get the verdict. I hope she will be a really nice person and pay, or send the ring back. I don’t think she will, but the pressure is on her now, The way she tried to screw me over was a joke, but I guess that’s what I get for dealing with people like that.”
In November, Gina Rodrigues, Suleman's manager said “It's a lie, Nadya asked to get paid after she finished a pillow fight for Damon, he asked her and her friend that accompanied her on the trip, to meet him in his room and he would give her the money there. When her and her girlfriend arrived to the room, Damon opened the door let her in and dropped to his knee and conveniently had a photographer snapping pictures of it quickly. The 'ring' he is talking about was fake and did not fit on her finger.”
Suleman also known as "Octomom" was reportedly paid six figures for participating in the boxing matches. The mother of 14 who appeared in an adult film and stripped for cash, recently began receiving welfare benefits again. She told Huffington Post that “My choice to go back on assistance is only a temporary one, At this time my family needs the medical, dental and food assistance because it is so expensive." Octomom claims that she used most if not all of her savings when she was in rehab.
Now word on how she will pay Feldman the money she owes if the ring is no longer in her possession.
