Nadya Suleman, known as Octomom for giving birth to octuplets, is under investigation for welfare fraud and abuse that could end up having her serve tie in prison.
A complaint was filed recently that she committed welfare fraud, to the L.A. County Dept of Welfare Fraud Prevention and Investigation claiming she was getting benefits that are for the public while she made almost $200,000 in 2012 doing porn.
Nadya who has 14 children and is single has been looking for ways to make money to support her large family and for a family that is as large as hers, to collect welfare she needs to get $119,000 or less each month.
Several witnesses have been investigated and interviewed.
She stopped getting welfare at the end of 2012 because she was doing work in the adult entertainment industry, but started getting it again in 2013.
Reports say she was getting $1800 a month in food stamps and $1000 in welfare money, as well as medical assistance for the family. The porn industry was not enough to pay the bills.
This is not the first time that she has had major issues.
She was in rehab last year for an addiction to Xanax, and had to get nannies to take care of the kids.
Then one of those nannies was said to be stalking one of Nadya's older children and she had to get a restraining order against the woman.
It was also reported this past February that she was abusing drugs and alcohol and blacking out in front of her kids, child services were called to the home, but not enough evidence was shown to take the kids.
Since getting out of rehab, Nadya had said that she was doing much better and enjoyed being with her kids.
If she is found to be guilty she could face up to three years in prison.
