Octomom fraud allegations are creating a lot of internet buzz. Nadya Suleman (Octomom) is involved in a fraud investigation in regard to her welfare payments. According to a report from Wednesday (March 20), officials from the L.A. County Department of Welfare Fraud Prevention and Investigation are looking into whether or not Suleman committed any crimes when it comes to her welfare.
It seems that the investigation into Suleman began when a complaint was filed with the WFP&I. The accusation included her making upwards of $200,000 last year and that she continued collecting welfare benefits including food stamps. The law states that she can only receive government assistance if she makes less than $119,000 a year, so it is this discrepancy that is being investigated.
These Octomom fraud allegations are still being investigated, but if it turns out that charges are necessary, Nadya Suleman could face up to three years in jail. As she is still considered a celebrity, expect details of this case to become public as the facts continue to be collected. No matter how these allegations play out, the results will likely be debated frequently on the internet.
