As many Southern Colorado Literature Examiner Readers may know. Pike’s Peak Writers offers free Write Brain! mini-workshops on a monthly basis. October holds the promise of not one, but two Write Brain! opportunities. Write Brain! sessions have been offered by Pike’s Peak Writers since 2004 and feature a wide variety of topics involving both the business and the craft of writing.
The regularly scheduled Write Brain! for October will be held on Tuesday, October 15th from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Business of Arts Center, Venue 515 at 515 Manitou Avenue in Manitou Springs. “Writing Monsters with Depth, Making Your Monsters Human” and will cover issues such as how to make a monster sympathetic in your writing because these days, monsters aren’t always the villains. This Write Brain! session will be presented by two talented Colorado authors, Mario Acevedo and Jeanne Stein.
As an added bonus, Pike’s Peak Writers are offering a bonus Write Brain! in October to help writers prepare for the coming of NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) in November. Get geared up to write a novel in thirty days with Delve Writing president and past president of Pike’s Peak Writers, Chris Mandeville. Chris is an authority on NaNoWriMo, as a two time “NaNo Pirate” winner. As with all Write Brain! offerings this bonus mini-workshop is offered at no cost on Tuesday, October 8th from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Business of Arts Center in Manitou Springs.
