On October 25, Albuquerque’s own Launchpad welcomes Shoggoth, Beefcake in Chains, Texylvania, and Black Widow Cabal. Doors for this 21+ show are scheduled to open at 8 p.m., with the first band taking the stage at 9 p.m. Entry is $7 but is subject to change at the door. This event is in honor of Steve Eiland’s 50th birthday bash and features a NM Horror Fest AfterParty!
Albuquerque’s Shoggoth play dark, occult rock courtesy of the “Esoteric Order of the Great Old Ones.”
Albuquerque’s Beefcake in Chains describe themselves as follows: “The most vile collection of miscreants & degenerates to ever soil a stage.” They are influenced by booze, porn, and stupidity.
Texylvania play what they like to call “Hexabily-Rocketfueled-Garage-PunkRock-Rock&Roll!” Texylvania have recently worked on Wes Beech’s tribute album to the mighty Plasmatics. The band has EPs and CDs out, the latest of which is titled Texylvania 13.
Albuquerque’s Black Widow Cabal is a kink and burlesque group inspiring women and men to embrace unique, creative, alternative ideas and turning them into a powerful innovative performance.
Around since 1997, Albuquerque’s Launchpad has played host to bands of numerous genres, including punk, indie rock, and metal. The Launchpad is located on 618 Central Avenue Southwest, which is between 6th and 7th streets.
