For Tuesday, October 29 2013 LA TV Insider Examiner recommends:
The X Factor (FOX, 8 p.m.) - "Top 12 Chosen" - The competition is whittled down to the top 12 performers.
The Goldbergs (ABC, 9 p.m.) - "Who Are You Going To Telephone?" - Beverly (Wendy McLendon-Covey) loves Halloween, but is disappointed when all of the kids choose not to celebrate the holiday with her. Adam (Sean Giambrone) wants to hang out with some 8th grade students, while Barry (Troy Gentile) and Erica (Hayley Orrantia) decide to attend a high school senior’s party, and Beverly takes an unusual step to convince a girl Barry has a crush on to date him. Meanwhile, Adam learns of his plans for the evening from his new “friends” and contemplates what to do next.
Supernatural (The CW, 9 p.m.) - "Slumber Party" - Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) discover that the table in the Men of Letters house (the one that lit up like a Christmas Tree when the angels fell), has an ancient computer attached to it. They figure if they can get the computer on, they can track the angels. Who better to call for help than the best IT girl there is, Charlie (guest star Felicia Day)? While moving the massive computer, they dislodge a hidden hexbag that unleashes a magical green-webbed wall. Sam and Dean break through it and discover the one and only Dorothy (guest star Tiio Horn) from Oz. She had trapped herself and the wicked witch (guest star Maya Massar) in the web years ago to stop the witch from finding the key that would open the gate that connected their world with Oz. With the wall broken, a massive and magical fight ensues that threatens to destroy the Men of Letters house.
Trophy Wife (ABC, 9:30 p.m.) - "Halloween" - For the second week in a row, there is a costume party, but this time there is an even better reason for it! Halloween is Jackie (Michaela Watkins) and Bert’s (Albert Tsai) most favorite holiday, but when Jackie’s homemade Iron Man costume doesn’t turn out the way Bert had intended, Kate (Malin Akerman) swoops in and hijacks the holiday. Meanwhile, Pete (Bradley Whitford) suspects a masked trick-or-treater as the same teenage misfit who egged the house and mooned him last year, so he holds the kid hostage trying to force a confession.
Awkward (MTV, 10:30 p.m.) - "And Then What Happened" - What really happened at the surprise party, and are Jenna (Ashley Rickards) and Matty (Beau Mirchoff) done for good? Only they know for sure, but all their friends recount the fateful event and try to connect the dots.
Which will you watch??
