Oceanique, the highly acclaimed seafood restaurant in Evanston, will host a Right Bite Sustainable Seafood dinner to celebrate its 25th anniversary. This special dinner on January 16 is a joint event with the Shedd Aquarium Right Bite Sustainable Seafood program. Diners will experience a six course menu for $85 per person.

For 25 years, Oceanique has been one of the city's most acclaimed contemporary French-American cuisine restaurants. With a newly renovated dining area and an expanded bar service, Oceanique offers a diners both casual dinner service in the bar area or a more formal experience in the dining room.

The Shedd Aquarium Right Bite Sustainable Seafood program encourages consumption of fish that is bountiful. Since many consumers may not be fully aware of sustainable fish choices, the Shedd Aquarium has created a guide to help consumers. The Right Bite card denotes the variety of fish choices that are plentiful.

The Right Bite wallet card is color-coded for easy reference. The "Best Choices" list is green. These fisheries are in great shape; the populations are healthy, the catch methods are environmentally friendly, or the farms are well-managed. The yellow fish fall into our "Good Alternatives" list. These seafood choices are doing fairly well, although there are still a few concerns with the fishery. The red "Avoid" list consists of seafood choices that absolutely need a break. These fish are either overfished or are fished in a way that causes a bunch of other critters to be caught, too.

At the January 16 dinner, guests will enjoy a full six course menu that highlights sustainable fish. The menu consists of the following dishes.
