Ocean City, New Jersey enjoys large group of beachgoers in October

Summer has been over for a few weeks, but that doesn't mean Ocean City, New Jersey is without beachgoers, shoppers, and people walking the Boardwalk.  Today, the Boardwalk, beach and  shops were packed in Ocean City.  The weather was summerlike, with temperatures in the low 80's, the sun shining bright people flocked to the beach town for a little more summer.  The ocean temperature was about 74 degrees according to the Ocean City Fishing Pier thermometer. 

Many people most likely also decided to visit Ocean City this weekend to do a little shopping at the Indian Summer Weekend sales at the Asbury Avenue and Boardwalk shops.

The 9th Street Bridge had traffic getting into Ocean City was backed up due to only one lane being open.
