Alec Baldwin is the latest celebrity to take a stand and support the Occupy Wall Street protesters by going down to the demonstrations. The famous celebrity was downtown Manhattan for over two hours on Tuesday talking to the protesters and showing his support for the cause.
Giving his fans a chance to hear about his arrival at the Zuccotti Park, the journey was outlined on Baldwin’s twitter stream. Before ever heading down to the protests, the actor hinted he wanted to go and ended up there only hours later.
As one of the most outspoken celebrities in New York City, it is no surprise that his trip to the protest garners weight to the cause. After coming back from the site, the actor actually got in several debates with fans online. Sharing that he believed in the greater good, several fans attacked him for the commercial he filmed for Capital One. Baldwin made a point to note that bank commercial cash actually is donated to the arts.
