OC Restaurant Week 2014 runs from February 23 to March 1, and Slater's 50/50 is kicking things off with "excesstasy" in the form of strong beers (starting at 11% ABV), delicious grub, and the promise of a fun evening. This strong beer event centers around their procurement of rare, hard-to-find, high-alcohol brews... as well as a sampling of some of their specialty dishes exclusively available for OC Restaurant Week. The BIG beer lineup includes Ritual's "High West Manhattan Barrel-Aged Big Deluxe" (12.4%), North Coast's "2011 Old Stock Cellar Reserve" (15.2%), Epic's "Big Bad Baptist" (11.8%), Smuttynose's "Iced Wheat Wine" (20%), Latitude 33's "Murder By Death" (13%), Firestone's "17th Anniversary" (13.3%), Avery's "Mephistopheles" (16.8%), Hangar 24's "Pugachev's Cobra" (16.5%), Deschute's "The Abyss" (11%), and Manzanita's "Serenity" (15%).
I've been waiting for a local event like this - like SDBW without the drive! - and am especially excited to kick off the week with a taste of some of these unique strong beers. More details on this event are below... hope to see you there!
