Move over Project Runway! There’s some new, fashionable competition hitting TV’s Fall line up! Bring it on, right?!
Here’s the scoop…NBC is scheduled to launch a new TV reality show – Fashion Star. Designers will compete to win a multi-million dollar contract to launch their line in American retail stores! Plus, the merchandise will be available for purchase online immediately after the episode! (This could get very interesting!)
Whose smiling face can we expect to see on the show? NBC has teamed up Elle Macpherson to host the series along with Jessica Simpson as the mentor to the aspiring designers (photo insert)! Not such a bad choice for the mentor role…Jessica has built a retail empire of reportedly nearly $1 billion (no joke!)! We’re talking shoes, boots, handbags, jeanswear, dresses, sunglasses and MORE! OC fashionistas, you can shop her collections at any Macy’s or Nordstrom location (Fashion Island, South Coast Plaza, etc.).
So, this definitely sounds like a new show format! We can’t wait to add it to our DVR recording schedule!
