'Guardians of the Galaxy' trailer premieres

Jimmy Fallon may be attracting a long list of mega stars to "The Tonight Show", but last night, February 19, Jimmy Kimmel outdid him because he got the "Guardians of the Galaxy." For those who may not know, it is one of the big Marvel comic book movies due out this summer. If you missed the show, have no fear, because you can get a look at this new trailer by clicking the video above.

The trailer opens with Peter Quill (Chris Pratt), or Star-Lord as he prefers to be called, stealing some sort of orb until he gets busted by alien beings. He then finds himself in a lineup of inter-stellar criminals who are all named thanks to John C. Reilly.

Drax (Dave Batista) is first up and does not look like an alien you want to mess with, but is quickly followed by Gamora (Zoe Saldana) who, while green skinned, looks like someone you would want to mess with. It gets a little weird from there, but that's what makes "Guardians of the Galaxy" so unique. We meet Rocket, who is a weapon wielding raccoon, who is always accompanied by Groot, who is more or less, a living tree. The final member of the group is Star-Lord, who has a little fun when he enters the lineup.

Then, to the tune of Blue Swede's "Hooked on a Feeling" we get a quick montage of some serious action clips, including a quick appearance by The Collector (Benicio Del Toro) who was last scene in a post credit scene in "Thor: The Dark World."

Will "Guardians of the Galaxy" be as entertaining and fun as this first trailers looks? We'll find out on August 1 when the movie is released in theater everywhere.
