ObamaCare trying to put lipstick on a pig?

As the American public learns more about Obama and the Democrats'  Health Care Reform, coming to be known as ObamaCare or Health Care Deform, the less they like it.  It is becoming more like putting lipstick on a pig. (Putting lipstick on a pig is common slang for when someone tries to dress something up, but can't cover up the original thing.) The fact that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, with an approval rating in the 30's, is trying to dress it up with her usual arrogance is not helping to push ObamaCare through Congress.  Obama is now calling it "insurance" instead of universal health care.

Democrats are watching as support for Republicans is now 42% in contrast to 38% for them.  That is the highest level it has reached in two years and could put some of them on notice that a vote for the ObamaCare may have consequences for them in the 2010 Congressional elections. The result could be that they will have to go job hunting like the millions of other Americans unless they want to remain in Washington as lobbyists.

Republican say that a good health care reform proposal deserves more time and deliberation instead of being rush through Congress with over 1000 pages that most of the representatives have not even read.

According to Rep. Roy Blunt (R-Missouri)

...the legislations changes by 100 pages every time you walk into a room.

                                                                                     Rep. Roy Blunt
It appears that the public is listening to members of the GOP such as Rep. Nathan Deal (R-GA.) who said:

Most of us believe that the decision as to major reform of how Americans get their health care in this country deserves at least as much time and deliberations as it would to select a puppy to live in the  White House.

It took the president six months to decide how long and which puppy he was going to have ...To expect Congress to do something on major health care reform in six days is totally irresponsible.

Apparently, Americans are listening and watching as they now oppose  ObamaCare  with 53% against it.  In addition, voters say that health care reform is fourth on the list of budget priorities.  By 61% they say that it is the cost of healthcare, not the lack of universal coverage that is the most important.

There is little doubt that voters are still smarting from seeing the $787-billion economic stimulus plan that many feel has hurt, rather than helped the economy and availability of jobs. Gradually, Americans are beginning to understand about the trillions of dollars of debt that have accumulated since Obama took office in January 2009.

Obama has tried to use his double speak in now calling Obama Care an "insurance program", but the only ones who believe him are those deeply steeped in Democrat rhetoric and still drinking the Koolaid.

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for July 26, 2009 shows that

  • 29% of the nation's voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President.
  •
  •  40% Strongly Disapprove
Obama now has a Presidential Approval Index rating of -11. That’s the first time his ratings have reached double digits in negative territory

This may indicate that it may be  working the other way around in that they see ObamaCare, wearing makeup to hide the real truth about what it means to have the U.S. government running a health care program.

As Gov. Sarah Palin said during the presidential campaign, even if lipstick is put on a pig, it is still a pig,  Apparently, in regard to ObamaCare, that is what the American public is deciding.

This country has a universal health care plan in place right now. Too bad that it is the most expensive and least efficient plan on the planet. Walk into an ER and count the number of families waiting for unpredictable, needlesly expensive and often too late medical treatment. We could be a great country again if we weren't so snobish about who deserves equal health care.

Yes HMO is bad but we still get the procedures but with ObamaCare we will wait and wait and wait and just have to make funeral arrangements. Check out Canada. I am in the healthcare business and it is horrific yes but more and more come here because their countries deny them lifesaving as no monies. They pay here.

ObamaCare has nothing to do with lowering costs. It IS Obama's way to pay Reparations.

He said it all through the campaign.
"I consistently believe that when it comes to whether it's Native Americans or African-American issues or reparations, the most important thing for the U.S. government to do is not just offer words, but offer deeds."

google ACORN SEIU HCAN PNHP obama reparations together or separate and see the connections. ALL unions or community organizations. All in line for BILLIONS.

""So many of the disparities that exist in the African-American community today can be directly traced to inequalities passed on from an earlier generation that suffered under the brutal legacy of slavery and Jim Crow," he said. "We still haven't fixed them.""

Obama's 20 year long church, Rev Wright's, has called for reparations since Obama first went there. Obama STILL believes all he heard there.
Search the above and read it for yourself. Don't take my word for it.

Obama's ideal of taking politics out of health care is to put it all under goverment control.he wants to leave in it in the hands of HMO's and Insurance companies, and let the goverment set the procotols that will over rule the doctors precribed treatment and the goverment will tell them what they will or will not pay and ,refusing edlerly the operations that could extend their life, instead require the elderly to submit to a counseling every 5 years for palltive care, and hospice, thats pain medication, and how to accept death.forcing them accept the dying instead of recieveing any medical treatment
