Obamacare & the VA Hospital Scandal: An inconvenient truth

See also

For the past few days this writer has watched news of the scandal surrounding mismanagement of the VA Hospital System percolate.

For those still unaware, 40 Veterans are alleged to have died as a result of unacceptably long delays in seeing a doctor and/or receiving Medical Treatment. Only upon the discovery of documentation verifying attempts to cover up, and/or understate the length of the delays, has the Obama Administration decided that ignoring or denying the scandal would no longer work.

Yesterday, President Obama finally had a press conference at which he addressed the scandal and said that such mismanagement would not be tolerated.

That having been said, lets back the truck up.

Before Obamacare, aka the Affordable Care Act (ACA), ever was passed many persons pointed to mismanagement of the VA Hospitals as evidence the Federal Government was incapable of properly managing healthcare for the entire nation. In response, many Democrats denied the allegations of bad management at the VA Hospitals, and some even pointed to the excellent management of the VA Hospitals as evidence that Government could manage all of the nation's healthcare.

Essentially the proponents of Obamacare shouted down the factual evidence that the Government was failing in its management of healthcare for Military Veterans;Veterans who should receive the best care possible. This factual evidence showed that the Government could not even properly manage the health of a very small fraction of the nations entire population.

But those us of familiar with the VA Hospitals' long history of mismanagement and cover up, knew better.

This writer repeatedly tweeted and emailed a link to a film clip of a 1992 movie called Article 99. This movie was directly on point to the issue of mismanagement that comes with government involvement with healthcare. In this instance, in the very VA Hospitals now embroiled in the current scandal.

This is the Tweet this writer currently periodically sends out on Twitter @DMashak.

Though the wording has change slightly since before Obamacare was passed, the video and the link remain the same as the one this writer posted many times before the passage of Obamacare. Obamacare was signed by President Barrack Obama on June 25, 2010. (This date will become important when the timeline of the VA Hospital scandal(s) is disclosed)

In the interview contained in the article in the following Tweet @DMashak, it is reported that this scandal went on for a "long time". The printed portion of the article shows the currently documentable timeline begins in early 2012.

But the end of the Article 99 movie indicates that the problems the movie exposed within the VA Hospital were never really resolved. People got fired and the status quo management just continued under new management. So has the VA Hospital scandal really went on for 22 years?

Evidence that our Government has continuously mismanaged the healthcare of military and Veterans since 1992 appears in the form of two other scandals:

The point being that this writer and many other Americans specifically pointed to the Federal Governments inability to manage healthcare on a much smaller scale than Obamacare will cover. Yet President Obama, most of Congress and Main Stream Media failed to give these failures the emphasis they merited in the Obamacare debate.

This writer suggests to you that the facts seem to indicate their was a deliberate conspiracy to cover up the bad conditions at the VA Hospitals until after Obamacare was passed and implementation began. Are you really going to believe that these three latest Government Medical Scandals suddenly ended in in 2009 and did not begin again until 2012? Or is it more likely that these scandals were intensely covered up until after the passage of Obamacare in 2010, to maximize the probability of passage?

And this writer submits that maximizing the possibility for passage of Obamacare was also the reason that, after the fact, Americans learned they could not keep their prior insurance nor their doctor, as President Obama emphatically promised.

And, before we go farther, let us address the protests of Defenders of Obamacare who insist there are no death panels in Obamacare. This is another Tweet this writer often posts on Twitter @DMashak.

Maximizing the possibility of passage would also be the plausible reason, President Obama apparently deliberately deceived the American Public as to the existence of death panels in Obamacare. President Obama apparently used the pretext that if the Death Panels were called "Independent Payment Advisory Board", it would not be a lie to say their were no death panels because they were not called Death Panels. [Similar to how former President Clinton said he wasn't lying when he said he didn't have sex with Monica Lewinsky because Oral sex isn't sex]

And this writer's concerns over these various lies and misrepresentations are reflected in this writer's following frequent posting on Twitter @DMashak:

  • Margin of victory for @Obamacare was so small that the deliberate, malicious lies & misrepresentations were the difference between passage & failure

Now we move on to the Million Dollar question this writer has asked of our Government in two prior articles which remains unanswered:

That question addresses the entire premise Obamacare is based upon: "How many persons who said they wanted but could not afford Obamacare, are now covered by Obamacare?" President Obama and his Talking Heads keep spewing out numbers that are relatively meaningless. They spew all the numbers except the number Obamacare was premised on.

WE THE PEOPLE were told that the number of Americans that wanted but could not afford Obamacare was so huge, nothing short of a National Solution involving every American could address the problem. That number was originally finally set at 16% of the population. But when confronted, Obamacare proponents were forced to admit that half of that number were folks who simply exercised there the freewill choice and chose not to be covered. These persons were predominately 18-26 years old. (And President Obama avoided their resistance by dumping that cost onto the parents of 18-26 year olds by making them covered on their parents insurance) That left 8% of Americans who allegedly wanted but could not afford Healthcare. And 8% of 315 Million is 25.2 Million.

So this writer calls President Obama out again for an answer to this question: "How many folks who said they wanted but could not afford healthcare and did not previously have healthcare, are now covered under Obamacare?" If that number was the premise dumping the entire traditional healthcare system for Obamacare, should not that have been a number the Obama Administration specifically tracked from day one? In implementing any new system or product line, does not private business track the numbers the new system or product was premised on from day one? For the purpose of adjusting premises to real time results and/or to abort the system/product at the first instant the system/product appears unworkable to minimize loss?

Barring near instantaneous production of this number by the Obama Administration, this writer submits that it is reasonable to conclude based on his track record that President Obama has once again lied about Obamacare.

And, as his writer's regular reader already knows his position is that their is only one Tyrant Class pretending to be two major political parties in the US, they will not be surprised when this writer lays blame at the feet of the other alleged major political party.

Both Republican and Democrats took Campaign Contributions and/or bribes and/or other consideration from Hospitals and Insurance Companies to ignore the demands of them masses to fix traditional healthcare. It is only the refusal of both Democrats and Republicans to fix traditional healthcare that formed the "perfect storm" pretext premise for "fixing" all of healthcare in one fell swoop.

Once again this writer reminds the reader of his position that the numbers of folks who wanted but could not afford healthcare were so small that a separate safety net program, along with correcting the problems with traditional healthcare that the masses demanded, was the better solution.

Using the numbers Proponents of Obamacare themselves produced, 92% of Americans were satisfied with traditional healthcare. And the failure of the Obama Administration to date to produce the number of persons who wanted but could not afford and are now covered under Obamacare points to the 8% or 25.2 Million number as being wildly exaggerated.

So its up to you my fellow Americans: Do you want to die waiting to see a doctors as 40 Veterans have appeared to have done(olr be driven to suicide), or are you just going to contact your Congressfolks and force your government to overturn the Obamacare Albatross that was enacted with fraudulent representations?

And don't expect to get any answer from the Government that you can actually rely up. After all, remember the evidence and statements to date that there was a massive conspiracy to fudge the wait times at VA Hospitals and cover up the mismanagement of the VA Hospitals. (Do you think this same Government will fudge and cover up your complaints when "mismanagement" happens to you?)

“Yet the individual is handicapped by coming face to face with a conspiracy so monstrous he cannot believe it exists. The American mind simply has not come to a realization of the evil which has been introduced into our midst. It rejects even the assumption that human creatures could espouse a philosophy which must ultimately destroy all that is good and decent.”

FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover, (January 1, 1895 – May 2, 1972) was the first Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) of the United States. Appointed director of the Bureau of Investigation—predecessor to the FBI—in 1924, he was instrumental in founding the FBI in 1935, where he remained director until his death in 1972) The Elks Magazine, August 1956

Obamacare was never about Health Care, It has always been about control.

Agenda 21 is not about the environment, its about control.

Gun Control is not about Guns, its about control

And, in theirs writer's humble opinion, all the evidence points to the Republican Establishment actually wanting Obamacare as much as the Democrat Establishment. However the Republican Establishment is hamstrung by that darn Republican Platorm whereby those pesky rank and file Republicans voiced their adamant opposition to Nationalized Healthcare.

All of this would seem to be a very "inconvenient truth". An inconvenient truth not only President Barrack Obama, but for the entire American Tyrant Class pretending to be two major political parties.

Those were my thoughts.

In Closing:

Thank you, my fellow citizens, for taking your valuable time to read and reflect upon what is written here.

If what is written here rings true to you, perhaps you should contact your local elected officials and let them know. If you are afraid of repercussions, snail mail it anonymously and ask them to respond in the local paper or their own monthly/quarterly internet newsletter. Even if this article refers to something outside you geographic area, it still likely applies to your location. Remember all those taxpayer training junkets we taxpayers send the bureaucrats on? They all learn the same “livestock management” techniques to use on WE THE PEOPLE.

And that leaves WE THE PEOPLE with this conundrum: While our #Government works full time with compensation and funded with our money for the cause of #Tyranny; WE THE PEOPLE are forced to work part time without compensation for the cause of #liberty with what is left over of our time, money and energy.

Finally, this article is written with the same intentions as Thomas Paine http://ushistory.org/paine. I seek no leadership role. I seek only to help the American People find their own way using their own “Common Sense” http://amzn.to/kbRuar
