Obamacare heroin: Drug traffickers label their transported drugs as 'Obamacare'

After all President Barack Obama has been through with his failed-rollout of Obamacare (the Affordable Care Act) since Oct. 1 when the healthcare.gov web site failed miserably, the last thing needed is more negative Obamacare headlines. According to NBC on Friday, there is another negative that has been linked to the word “Obamacare.” Apparently, criminals think that if something is labeled “Obamacare,” it can illegally sneak through.

The Obama pardons throughout his presidency: Many drug offenders pardoned

State Police in Massachusetts found more than 1,000 bags of heroin – many labeled in bright red letters reading “Obamacare.” State Trooper Joseph Petty was making a traffic stop near Route 91 in Northhampton when a vehicle passed him early Friday morning. Noticing several violations, he stopped the vehicle in the town of Hatfield. That’s when he found the packages stamped “Obamacare” which were actually not for the federal health care program but were 1,250 bags of heroin.

In the incident, Tyler Robenstein, 23, from Colchester, Vermont, was arrested and charged with trafficking in heroin, possession to distribute a Class A substance, conspiracy to violate the drug laws, speeding, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and failure to change lanes for an emergency vehicle.

There were also three passengers with Robenstein. They are Sherod Green, 24, and Marquese Jones, 22, who are both from Newark, New Jersey, as well as Ashley Beaulieu, 21, from Colchester, Vermont. They were also charged with trafficking in heroin, violating drug laws, and possession to distribute a Class A substance.

Ironically, many persons with drug offenses in the past were pardoned by President Barack Obama on Dec. 19, 2013.
