According to a Sept. 10, article from The Blaze, there is a rush to get the necessary Obamacare guides or navigators to help sign up the 30 million uninsured who need to be paired with an insurance program. If customers feel frustrated dealing with insurance companies, it may be that signing up for Obamacare will be much worse. The government has turned to various organizations to provide and train these navigators to explain the new healthcare exchanges to citizens. Various types of groups have been brought in to help including Planned Parenthood, farm workers’ organizations, soup kitchens, and more.
There's little time for training these unqualified employees on the fine details of President Obama's Affordable Care Act especially since much of the detail is not really understood by anyone yet. The organizations will provide 20 hours of training and the guides will be sent out to community events and even to CVS stores to help explain the insurance options available in the exchange.
The sign-up phase of the Affordable Care Act is the part that lawmakers are concerned about. Some predict that it will be a train wreck.
