Some of you will be celebrating for joy. Others are pounding your fists at which ever screen you are paying attention to...the computer screen, the TV screen, or your smartphone screen.
Regardless of which political party you consider yourself to be a part of, there are MAJOR changes in YOUR future. Whether you want insurance or not. Whether you can AFFORD insurance or not. Come January 1st, 2014, this law will effect YOU.
Here's the deal. It no longer matters if you're a healthy individual who never uses a doctor, the hospital, or any medication what so ever. It no longer matters if you've never cared a lick about your health and you are constantly in the Emergency Room, daily, for one ailment or another. Either way, you're being forced to buy health insurance. However, either way, you will be paying more than your fair share of your income on that health insurance, as well.
What does this mean for you?
Unless you're filthy stinking rich (you know, those that provide the jobs, yet we are taught to demonize as evil), you will find yourself in a very scary predicament.
According to the law, you will have a choice to face. Jail, pay a STEEP fine (for which if you can afford the fine, you may as well afford the insurance), or sell off all of your assets you've worked your entire life to build up just to pay the premium and enjoy "freedom" with your family.
Striking choices, wouldn't you say?
Yes, well, that's the place We the People have collectively brought ourselves to. This is what the majority of the country seems to want....to give our politicians complete and chaotic control of our daily lives.
And it doesn't matter which party you prefer, they are both acting in the same manner. They are both scrambling for such control...AND gaining that very control.
You now have 2 1/2 months to decide which of the three above choices you'll take. And, if you choose one of the payment options, keep in mind...your work hours are also about to be slashed even further. Yes, we've left ourselves in quite a pickle.
I'll write you more in a few weeks...in the meantime, I'm about to start looking for my penlight to see if there's a tiny sliver of hope in the dark cloud above our heads.
