During an exclusive interview that aired Monday, President Obama told Bill O'Reilly that he and Fox News has "absolutely" been unfair to him.

“Absolutely, of course you are, Bill. But I like you anyway,” Obama said when O'Reilly asked if the president thought he was “unfair” in his coverage of him and his administration.

O'Reilly didn't let the accusation slide and demanded specifics.

“Give me how I’m unfair,” O’Reilly said in response. “You can’t make that accusation without telling me.”

“We just went through an interview in which you asked about health care not working, IRS, were we wholly corrupt, Benghazi,” Obama said.

Translation: It's unfair to ask Obama about current unresolved scandals and the failure of his signature legislation that is taking over six percent of the economy.

“But these are unanswered questions,” O'Reilly countered.

“But they are defined by you guys in a certain way,” Obama said.

Obama acknowledged that receiving criticism is part of being president of the United States.

"It’s my job to give you a hard time," O'Reilly said.

"I think regardless of whether it’s fair or not, uh, it has, uh, it has made FOX News very successful," Obama added.

He then told O'Reilly the network is "gonna have to figure out" what to do when he is no longer in office.

O'Reilly said Obama should ask President Clinton and President Bush.

"I gave President Bush a real hard time," O'Reilly said.

Throughout his presidency, Obama has targeted Fox News for criticism because it allows a conservative voice and has been critical of his policies.
