Obama tells a whopper at his Obamacare town hall meeting

President Obama is not trustworthy when it comes to what he says about health care.

At Tuesday's town hall meeting on health insurance reform at Portsmouth High School in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Obama claimed he has not said he was a "single payer supporter." That is simply not true.

In 2003 Obama, a more honest Obama told an AFL-CIO conference that he was a supporter of a single payer universal health care program:

I happen to be a proponent of a single payer universal health care program. I see no reason why the United States of America, the wealthiest country in the history of the world, spending 14 percent of its Gross National Product on health care cannot provide basic health insurance to everybody. And that’s what Jim is talking about when he says everybody in, nobody out. A single payer health care plan, a universal health care plan. And that’s what I’d like to see. But as all of you know, we may not get there immediately. Because first we have to take back the White House, we have to take back the Senate, and we have to take back the House.

Don't take my word for it, watch the following short video:

Obama's assertion today, that he has not said he is a "single payer supporter" is a bald face lie:

I have not said that I was a single payer supporter, because frankly we historically have had a employer-based system in this country with private insurers and for us to transition to a system like that, I believe, would be too disruptive.

Again, don't take my word for it, Watch the following short video:

Obama cannot expect the American people to believe anything he says about Obamacare when the record shows he is not telling the truth. What else is Obama lying about?

Maybe it's lying... but the truth is not that far. Here is probably the truth.

Obama favors a single-payer system ideally but he knows in practice it won't happen under current American views (it's democracy after all) anytime soon, if ever. In the meantime, he does believe that private companies should compete with a public plan in order to lower costs and extend coverage.

So, as an average citizen, I just care about the current proposal.

Obama supported single payer in the past because it is the best way to go. He has been against it as president because he thought a "public option" would more easily pass. He should have stuck with single payer.

YouTube has changed the entire dynamic. They CANNOT continue to lie to us. There is video or print of them from at least a decade ago. This is why we are angry.
They CONTINUE to lie and deny that they do. It is old.

At Obama's town hall today, he was trying to assure us that the "government option" would save money and NOT drive out private insurers. To prove his hypothesis, he said UPS and FedEx were doing fine, but “it’s the post office that’s always having problems.”

    Ahahha Ahhahhah!!!

Trying to persuede that government can run a health program efficiently and cheaper and for proof brings up the USPS!

$3 to $6 BILLION deficit at the USPS and he wants us to believe he can run health insurance?!?!?!?

    WHAT A FRICKING JOKE.

Hey Obammie, Teleprompter....NEVER LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT!

I would challenge anyone to come up with one Federally Funded / Mandated entity that if you removed Fed Money they would survive
