On Saturday, Barack Obama was slammed for a tweet that focused on a basketball game instead of jobs, the economy or the crisis in Ukraine.

"Congrats to the @DaytonFlyers on a huge upset win! Devin Oliver, I may need to take you up on that pick-up game one of these days. -bo," Obama tweeted, using the signature "-bo" to indicate the president sent the message himself.

A number of people, however, thought the president's priorities were somewhat misplaced.

"Are you watching #Ukraine? Congrats, @DaytonFlyers! but folks are dying in Ukraine," one person said.

"You have bigger issues to be worrying about," another person added.

"Get back to work -je," tweeted "Jeff Engen."

One person suggested Obama invite Russian President Vladimir Putin to the game so they could work out the situation in Crimea while another person said Obama should solve problems instead of making them.

Another Twitter user asked Obama to "please" fix the economy and the gridlock in Washington, D.C., instead of watching basketball.

"You seem to follow college hoops more than Russian troops," added Twitter user "Razor."

Another person observed that "between golf, vacations, basketball, hanging out with talk show hosts, and campaigning who's got time to run the nation?!?"

Oliver responded to Obama's tweet, appearing eager to take the president on.

"Mr. President, I appreciate the love for me and my teammates! I would love to play that 1v1 game with you ASAP! Just let me kno! (sic)" he wrote.

At least, MSNBC's Al Sharpton won't have to worry anymore about the president being alone while First Lady Michelle Obama is in China.
