Obama signs sustainable stimulus into law at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science

On a windy, Tuesday afternoon, at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, Obama’s left hand signed the Stimulus Bill into law.  Just prior to signing, the President stipulated that the Stimulus Bill, that managed to get through congress in just four weeks, will “double the amount of renewable energy in the next three years.”

Namaste Solar’s website remains as inaccessible as it was when Boulder based company's CEO, Blake Jones' speech began.  Given the fact the Boulder based company's CEO was the one who introduced President Obama, it is unsurprising that its servers are now flooded.

Like many companies in the US, Namaste Solar’s success did not exempt them from the ubiquitous economic hardships sweeping the country.  Jones, however, expressed optimism that these Stimulus’ winds would bring change for Namaste as well as for other companies being forced to scale back their workforce.

In addition to using the opportunity to bestow praise on Denver’s local and state politicians, he spoke enthusiastically of Boulder, positing it is now on it’s way to being America’s “first smart grid city.”

The president named institutions ranging from the National Institute of Health to the National Science Foundation as organizations critical to bringing aid and opportunities to state and local governments to prevent layoffs.

Recovery.gov, the website, dedicated to government transparency, was also officiated at this event.  Recovery.gov will enable taxpayers to follow how their money is being spent on the local as well as on the national level.
