This morning President Barack Obama will kick off a full court press styled campaign to encourage the younger American demographic and minorities to sign up for medical insurance under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) better known as Obamacare. The campaign is designed to coincide with the NCAA college basketball frenzy known as March Madness and will begin this morning with an interview on Univision Radio's Locura Deportiva.
Americans have until the end of this month to sign up for government mandated health insurance otherwise be penalized on their next tax return for not doing so.
The marketing campaign is designed to merge the popularity of March Madness with Obamacare as the government releases its '16 Sweetest Reasons to Get Covered Bracket'. The campaign will also feature celebrities, Barack Obama and a host of basketball players pitching for viewers to sign up for the forced health insurance plans. Obama's cronies at the HHS even convinced NBA notables Magic Johnson, Alonzo Mourning and Miami Heat superstar LeBron James to participate in the marketing propaganda. The marketing campaign will be all encompassing including television, radio, social media and digital online advertisements.
This all comes on the heels of several polls showing how unpopular Obamacare is with the general public and especially the younger generation. It is even less popular with Libertarians who would like to see the Act repealed and/or defunded. Wes Benedict, Executive Director for the Libertarian Party recently stated, "Unfortunately, we've let government get so big and intrusive that it's not going to be easy to stop Obamacare or any other government program. Congress might pretend to try stopping parts of Obamacare, or simply rename certain provisions, but I don't think they'll really stop the substance. To actually stop Obamacare and other government programs, we have to change American culture. It's not going to be easy." Americans are being encouraged to stop voting for either Republicans or Democrats and begin voting for Libertarian branded candidates running for public office.
Obamacare has caused millions of Americans to lose their health insurance in 2013 and to make matters worse, is causing a large number of Americans to have their work hours cut back to under 30 hours a week. Those that either had policies or go to get a new policy are faced with sticker shock seeing their monthly premiums escalate to being twice as much as they were paying before.
