Obama blames Republicans for sequester cuts that will reduce his trillion dollar deficit by less than a hundred billion dollars. The president says that children will be kicked out of classrooms, not get meals in school, and go hungry despite food stamps that have increased 50% under Obama’s watch. Meanwhile, Democrats think nothing of giving the Muslim Brotherhood president of Egypt $1.5 billion of American taxpayer’s dollars.
Having spent two weeks building sequesteria, President Obama went to great pains to divert responsibility from himself after being outted by veteran newsman Bob Woodward, and lay the blame for all the economic disasters to come on Republicans. Having been given the tax hikes he demanded in a deal with Republicans for spending cuts, Obama now demands more before he agrees to any Republican cuts. When Woodward called this “the kind of madness I haven’t seen since Nixon,” a senior White House aide made a verbally abusive call to Woodward and then later ‘apologized’ via email saying Woodward would regret his stance.
Despite maintaining federal spending at close to $4 trillion with almost a trillion in deficits, Obama says that the economy will be collapsing in the coming months due to the Republicans not making a deal with him. The president maintains that the economy depends on government spending and that higher taxes without cuts will make the economy boom. Conservatives contend that the government is sucking money out of the economy and Democrats have been the cause of creating and maintaining this recession from the beginning.
