Obama Satan look-alike: Producers call Obama Satan controversy ‘foolish’ (Video)

The on-going Obama Satan look-alike controversy on Monday, March 18 has reached such wild proportions, “The Bible” series producer Mark Burnett and his wife (Roma Downey) are now speaking out against those who truly believe the character on the show resembles President Obama.

According to CBS News, Downey had the following to say to anyone who feels the Satan character really looks like Obama, or has any mixed message about the way the president governs the country.

"Both Mark and I have nothing but respect and love our president, who is a fellow Christian," said Downey, the "Touched By an Angel" actress who is married to Burnett. "False statements such as these are just designed as a foolish distraction to try and discredit the beauty of the story of the Bible."

On Sunday, the character of Satan appeared on-screen for the first time, and man felt that the actor who played Satan looked like Obama. The actual actor, Mohamen Mehdi Ouazanni, is Moroccan and has actually played Satan in various other programs before President Obama even got into office.

But with people on Twitter believing that the Obama Satan look-alike was done on purpose to launch a not-so-subtle attack on the Obama administration, it appears that Downey and Burnett are already launching a pre-emptive strike against any talk of that nature.

“The Bible” mini-series is a 10 hour epic that airs on the History Channel. It has received massive ratings and ends its run on television on Easter Sunday.
