Obama’s State of the Union is confusion

Obama’s State of the Union is confusion. President Obama’s State of the Union Address was a rehash of his five previous addresses filled with inaccuracies and deception. Beginning with his claim of creating jobs, there are still one million fewer Americans working since he took office.

He wants to raise the minimum wage. Raising the minimum wage isn’t going to create jobs. It will reduce them. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, only 10% of the work force and most are teenagers. Most of the minimum wage jobs are part-time positions.

Obama’s other claim about his administration striving to be energy independent is erroneous. If it weren’t for states like North Dakota, Texas and Pennsylvania exploring gas and oil on private land, the United States would have the output it has. But Obama takes credit yet he has ordered the EPA to shut down oil wells in the Gulf of Mexico since the oil spill and feverishly attempting to eliminate the coal mining industry.

Obama is still refusing to move forward with the Keystone Pipeline. The State Department released their findings after five years concluded there are no serious risks in the construction of the pipeline. Construction of the pipeline could create 40,000 jobs. None of which will pay minimum wage.

Obama is planning to visit Michigan this upcoming week. He should add North Dakota to his itinerary. He can talk about the minimum wage. North Dakotans will tell Obama employees at McDonald’s and Wal Mart are making $17.00 per hour. North Dakota doesn’t need legislation. They need workers.

After his brazen lies to the country about people keeping their health care plans and doctors, Americans are wising up to his deceit. The country is finally seeing through Obama’s incompetence and deception. Currently 63% of Americans don’t trust or feel his is capable of being president. There is no confusing that issue.
