President Obama’s speech to school aged children has most conservatives up in arms. A back to school speech isn’t something that most people would be upset about. But a school speech from President Obama at this time is something that many Americans are getting upset about.
Just reading the numerous comments left on this examiner’s page shows the anger that many parents are feeling…just scroll about half way down the page to read the enraged comments.
According to a recent CNN story, conservatives are convinced the President is going to use the opportunity to push a political agenda on the children. And to this, the White House says nonsense.
Although the Department of Education has touted this as the first time a President has made a speech directly to school children; other President’s have done this, just not on a wide spread basis that the Internet can now achieve. Those speeches from other President’s are posted on the White House website.
In response to the public outrage, the President’s office has removed the lessons that were to be included with the school speech, and Obama’s school speech will be released on the White House website on Monday so that parents can view the speech and decide if they want their children to see it.

I never thought Id see the day when parents would demand a President of the United States be barred from addressing their children. Because our current President is of another party (and, in some cases, because he is of African descent), he is now being treated as, immoral, villainous, toxic and alien. It will surely not be lost on African-Americans that a new precedent is being set for our first African-American President. Speaking as a Democrat, I have never in my life dreamed of treating any Republican President like a drug pusher or sex offender simply for offering to speak to schoolchildren. It is the height of impudence that any Presidents remarks be screened by parent-ideologues of the other party, by tendentious teachers or school administrators. That any teacher, principal, school board, municipality or state should take part in this outrage is nothing less than a scandal. I rarely use this term, but there is no other term for it: is un-American.
Conservative...face the facts. You lost the election. Now it's time to man up and quit acting like little bitches because things didn't go your way. Grow up, act like adults and be productive. That's the way to get ahead in life.
