According to the latest Gallup poll released on Thursday, President Barack Obama’s overall job approval has dropped 3 percent to 44 percent among a sampling of registered voters throughout the United States.

The poll data - which was gathered from Aug. 7 through Aug. 11 and is being compared to data gathered two months ago from June 4 through June 11 – shows that Obama’s job of handling the economy took the biggest hit of all categories polled in that his job approval fell 7 percent when persons responded to questions about Obama and the nation’s economy – from a June rating of 42 percent to the current rating of 35 percent.

On taxes, the rating dropped 5 percent for Obama – from 41 percent to 36 percent. On the federal budget deficit – which was already incredibly low – the rating dropped 5 more percentage points from 31 percent to 26 percent. On terrorist, the data shows his approval rating dropped from 53 percent to 50 percent. On foreign affairs, prior to Obama’s controversial comments about Egypt during his Martha’s Vineyard 8-day vacation, the drop was 3 percent from 43 percent to 40 percent. On immigration, the drop was from 40 percent to 39 percent. There was a one percent drop on Healthcare policy from 40 percent to 39 percent.

Race relations and education are two categories that were not polled in June but polled in August. The president scored a 51 percent in terms of race relations and 49 percent in terms of education.
