1. Divert critical CIA resources and spy satellites away from hunting terrorists to track global warming.
2. Release captured al Qaida terrorists from Gitmo (most of whom were caught on the battlefield in Afghanistan) and send them through America's criminal court system.
Liberals pretend this is about fearlessly defending constitutional rights, but the Constitution doesn't apply to non-citizens. Hence, as usual, they are just treasonously aiding our enemies in a time of war. For the record, we have repeatedly discovered released Gitmo detainees recruiting for and plotting attacks with al Qaida.
3. Rather than aggressively interrogating captured al Qaida operatives for vital intelligence (which actually works), give them lawyers and plea bargains while politely asking them to betray their allies.
4. Misrepresent one terrorist attack after another as a random crime by a "victim of stress" or an "isolated extremist" while tirelessly perpetuating the myth that Islam is a "religion of peace."
5. Put airline passengers through absolute hell to avoid enacting policies that actually work...like giving extra scrutiny to those who have committed virtually 100% of the attacks on our airlines--young, Arab, Muslim men.
Have we not already paid dearly enough for the left's insistence on putting political correctness before public safety?
6. Create a culture of fear within the CIA by vindictively prosecuting agents who fail to read foreign terrorists their non-existent rights.
7. Surrender missile defense as Iran and North Korea go nuclear with impunity.

So, these "victims of stress" or "isolated extremists" committing these 'random crimes' are in contact with the same man, al Awlaki, an American living in Yemen, regarded as an Islamic scholar, and may be a key player in Al-Qaida’s efforts to radicalize and incite American Muslims to commit terrorist acts.
Does anyone else get the feeling that these acts by truly amateur terrorists are actually al Awlaki's method of testing the US to see what and how quick our response is???

I am so tired of these irrational tirades by both the extremist liberals and by the mindless conservatives. Both are so caught up in the anger and hate of it all they just spew out second hand information and over the top solutions to the problems with no intention of actually solving the problem but just to get some other confused person to agree with them. We do not need to worry about terrorists or Al Quaida. A nation this divided and with citizens that are this polarized and unwilling to compromise is a dying nation. It looks as though America is gonna just dissolve from within.
Warren hits the nail on the head precisely; the divisive nature of extremists on both sides in US politics perpetuate the trend of achieving nothing.
American policies on pretty much everything are SO far behind where they should be, purely because each party undoes the other's legislation. I really enjoy living in the United States, but if there was one thing I would change it would be to lessen the extent of polarization in politics. A centre-right approach from Conservatives and a centre-left approach from Liberals would achieve twice as much in half the time.

Regarding #2: The Constitution specifically says that the rights given to all men are given by our creator. That means that they are subject to no nations interpretation. They are natural rights. Try reading the Constitution before espousing disgusting propaganda.
Yes, Obama is helping push through some of the worst legislation in our country's history. That doesn't mean you have to buy into the other media prepackaged-hate side. Unless you have read the Quran, you shouldn't speak for an entire religion. Robert, where do you find this hate in the Quran? Where is it's origin? I read it, and didn't find the hate. I found the book a bit far-fetched, but I didn't notice this element of hate. 1 specific source would be great.
