Obama Regime NIH carried out Nazi-like oxygen experiment on premature babies

Without disclosing the experiment to parents, more than 1300 prematurely born babies were part of a National Institutes of Health (NIH) conducted experiment that included manipulatig the levels of oxygen given to the babies. Among the 1316 premature babies that were subject to the study, some were placed in a “low oxygen group” while others were randomly placed in a “high oxygen group.” The study, which intended to measure and document the effects of premature babies getting too much or too little oxygen, leads to health problems and unnecesary death of many of the babies in the experiment.

Parents were not told of the experiment, and that some babies would receive less oxygen than others would. Parents were assured that their premature babies were getting the best medical care available for the treatment of prematurely born babies.

The Daily Signal artile linked above, reported on the case of one baby, “Just 25 weeks into her pregnancy, Sharrissa Cook gave birth to a critically ill baby boy. Dreshan weighed in at a fragile 1 pound, 11 ounces. He lay motionless in the incubator, connected to tubes and monitors in the neonatal intensive care unit at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital.”

As with others, the parents were not informed that their baby was being signed up for an experiment that would put their babies are risk. Parents were not given full dislosure of what they are actually agreeing to when they enrolled their premature babies in the program.

“It was Oct. 11, 2006. Medical personnel asked Cook, then a 26-year-old single mother, to enroll little Dreshan in a study. She says they described it as a program offering assistance and encouragement to preemies—premature babies—and their families. She readily signed the consent form,” The Daily Signal reported.

The program was an experiment conducted by the National Institutes of Health under the Obama Administration's Department of Health and Human Services, under Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, who recently resigned that position.

“The government-backed study is called SUPPORT, which stands for “Surfactant, Positive Airway Pressure, and Pulse Oximetry Randomized Trial.” The experiment was conducted at 23 academic institutions from 2005 through 2009 under the National Institutes of Health, part of the Department of Health and Human Services,” as documented by The Daily Signal report.

This is not the first time an experiment, using human subjects, was conducted by a departnment of the Obama Regime. Last year this column reported a sick experiment in which volunteers were paid to inhale diesel exhaust to test how unhealthy such emissions are. The Environmental Protection Agency conducted that experiment, as if it wasn't already known that inhaling diesel smoke is not healthy.

This column also reported on another sick (no pun intended) experiment involving the deliberate infection of human subjects with the influenza virus conducted by the Obama Regime.
