Although WW2 and Viet Nam vets are not allowed to visit their memorials in the National Mall, illegal aliens will get free rein of the place, with the administration calling it a first Amendment right. The only problem with that as non citizens, they do not have the same rights as citizens. Non citizens can sometimes get rights in say a criminal prosecution but not in deportment proceedings, although they do get representation before a judge.
This is a slap in the face to every veteran or any US citizen for that matter, who have been locked out of the nation's treasures for which they are part owners. The illegals will build a stage have amplified equipment, access to TV cameras. This president is playing politics and it's only a matter of time before even his most ardent supporters see through his thinly veiled hatred of everything American.
Mark Krikorian, director of the anti-immigration Center for Immigration Studies, told the Daily Caller that:
“What this means is that the administration is sending a clear message that it’s OK to barricade elderly veterans out of their memorials, but illegal immigrants have to be accommodated no matter what.”
“It’s hard to justify closing off open areas , but to allow a major setup with equipment, electronics and security in a closed area is a little outrageous,”
For democrats, amnesty is high on their list of priorities, taking precedent over minor items, such as the budget, debt, and jobs. It is estimated that under the new bill put forth by Senate Democrats, 33 million illegal immigrants will find a permanent home here.
The organizers are on tens of thousands of marchers taking part in tomorrow's activities. That might be a bit optimistic, since an October fifth rally in forty states only netted fewer than 50,000.
Some republicans are working for amnesty too, which could cost them their base and let the party slide out into oblivion, never to be heard of again.
