In a new interview in Rolling Stone, President Obama, with the November elections getting closer, talks candidly about serious subject involving the state of the nation.
But that doesn't mean that the interview, conducted by editor Jann S. Wenner, doesn't get into lighter topics, including what it was like have a Beatle, Paul McCartney, perform in the White House.
"Having Paul McCartney here was also incredible," he told Wenner. "He's just a very gracious guy. When he was up there singing "Michelle" to Michelle, I was thinking to myself, 'Imagine when Michelle was growing up, this little girl on the South Side of Chicago, from a working-class family.' The notion that someday one of the Beatles would be singing his song to her in the White House — you couldn't imagine something like that."
Asked if he cried as McCartney sang to his wife, he replied, "Whenever I think about my wife, she can choke me up. My wife and my kids, they'll get to me."

What a wonderful comment. It says a lot about both President Obama and Paul. Quality people.

Wonderful. Two nice people met, they are both so down to earth.
I hope Jan S. Wenner who definitely is an Yoko-ass-kisser and anti-Paul will treat this subject nice.
I'm a nerd. I can imagine anything. I've been imagining Paul singing to me since I first heard him sing. (Hasn'thappened yet though).
I have more imagination then the president.
