Shortly after the Islamist terrorist Boston Marathon bombing, the great Dennis Miller went into a rant about President Obama’s failure to name the Islamist terrorist enemy, in whose name the bombing was perpetrated: http://www.fireandreamitchell.com/2013/04/24/dennis-miller-goes-off-on-o...
Miller was absolutely correct, Obama has intentionally refused to use the terms “war on terror”, or “war on Islamist terror”, or “Islamists terrorism” or anything that his exalted eminence feels might tend to offend our enemy, an enemy that , by the way, is trying to murder us at every opportunity.
Now that the Kenyan Islamist terrorist mall attack has occurred, in which the Islamist perpetrators segregated non-Muslims for death and purposely spared Muslims who were asked to prove their adherence to the “Prophet” Muhammad by reciting a verse from the Qu’ran, [see http://blog.heritage.org/2013/09/22/qa-on-kenya-terrorist-attack-and-al-... ] the question of the day is: Will Obama finally acknowledge the truth and identify Islamic Jihadist terrorists as the perpetrators of, and the motivation behind the Mall attack in Kenya, and the force and motivation behind our enemy? Or will he continue to pretend that this enemy does not exist, i.e. that Islam itself is the motivating factor of our enemy today in this life and death struggle?
Unfortunately for America and the security of the American people, he has failed again.
Below is a link to Obama's response to the Islamist terrorist atrocity in Kenya. He calls it a "terrible tragedy", he calls it a "terrible outrage", he calls it "senseless violence" that "these kind of groups" perpetrate, and he calls the groups "networks of destruction". Not once does he call them what they are: Islamic terrorists.
Eastern war theoretician Sun Tzu wrote: "Know the enemy and know yourself; in a hundred battles you will never be in peril. When you are ignorant of the enemy but know yourself, your chances of winning or losing are equal. If ignorant both of your enemy and of yourself, you are certain in every battle to be in peril."
Western war theoretician Carl von Clausewitz wrote: "No one starts a war -- or rather, no one in his senses ought to do so -- without first being clear in his mind what he intends to achieve by that war and how he intends to conduct it. The former is its political purpose; the latter its operational objective."
Of course, if one refuses to identify the enemy, as Obama has intentionally and consistently refused to do regarding Islamic terrorism, one fails to achieve both of the above profound points, because you can't achieve point two without first accomplishing point one, and that is precisely the reason that Obama is losing this war, and why we are in greater danger now than we were after 9-11.
